Discover the Story: We work at the grassroots-empowering farmers, youth, women, and educators to grow, innovate, and thrive with nature.
we grow communities, we grow ideas, and we grow futures.

Our Story
RUCID was born from a vision by Mr. Sam Nyanzi, who, after studying biodynamic agriculture in the UK and Kenya, returned home to create a model for rural transformation. From an early demonstration farm, RUCID grew into a recognized college and NGO, influencing national policy, partnering with top universities, and training thousands of farmers and students.
We now work across Uganda and the East African region, delivering formal training programs, farmer outreach, and community-based innovations that respond to both local and global challenges.

Mission
To be a leading organization contributing significantly to the spread of healthy and sustainable food production and consumption practices in Uganda and beyond.

Our Vision
To become a recognized and innovative hub of knowledge, training, and production in sustainable organic agriculture across Africa enhancing livelihoods and promoting healthy living through food systems that work for people and the planet.
Our Philosophy
We believe that real change comes from the ground up through people, communities, and practical action. Our philosophy is built on the idea that farming should be simple, people-centered, and aligned with nature. At RUCID, we walk the talk by staying humble, diverse, and community-driven in everything we do.

Our Strategic Approach
We promote agroecological and organic practices based on the IFOAM principles of Health, Ecology, Fairness, and Care. Our goal is to build food sovereignty, empower local knowledge systems, and reduce reliance on industrial inputs.
We take pride in being knowledge custodians and idea-makers, ensuring that communities not only learn, but lead.

Why RUCID Matters
In a world facing climate change, degraded soils, and youth unemployment, RUCID stands as a model of regeneration offering training, innovation, and hope for future generations.
We don’t just teach agriculture we grow communities, we grow ideas, and we grow futures.
